Are you ready to take off on your next career with us?As an Air Logistics Warehouse Associate you will contribute to the timely delivery of Express packages by loading and unloading of air freight containers, moving these containers from airplane to truck for on-time delivery to our customers at our airport location. This job is a cross-dock operation; your role is to move Express packages from aircraft to warehouse to trucks with no/minimal storage. Our indoor facility is an open-air environment and not temperature controlled, and you may work in or around aircraft.Responsibilities:Load and unload Express packages from air freight containers to and from semi-trucks in a widely dispersed area.Sorting, scanning and movement of small packages within the warehouse.Build up / Breakdown package containers ready for outbound/inbound flightsRemoval of tie-downs and other gear when loading and unloadingOperate air freight handling equipment such as pallet jacks and gaylords (push carts)Weighing, labeling, or make/break-down of gaylords or air freight containersCheck air express containers for proper piece count, weight, dimensions and documents as appropriate per air safety and security guidelinesReport to position on time, as scheduled, including mandatory overtime requirements, varying shifts, weekends, and holidaysSuccessfully complete required computer based and on the job trainingsAdhere to company policies, procedures, and performance standardsPerform all functions in accordance with safety procedures and policiesWork outdoors with exposure to extreme weather/elements, engine noise, and noxious fumesMinimum Requirements:High School Diploma, GED or international equivalent requiredOne-year experience in similar role preferred not requiredValid Driver's license (depending on station)Must be at least 18 years of ageMust be able to work weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) and holidays.Ability to read, write and understand the English languageAbility to understand and react to verbal commands and safety warnings, with and without, assistance of sight or visual aidsPreferred Skills:Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends (i.e., Friday, Saturday and Sunday), holidays, and days off.Ability to judge distances.Ability to successfully communicate with others.Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, multiple times a dayAbility to work in a variety of weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures, rain, wind and snowAbility to stand for an entire shift and move long distances across our facilities by footPerks & Benefits:Access your pay when you need it through DailyPay app!On the spot awards offered through the Awardco Platform including gift cards and more!Multiple options for both full and part-time employees!Travel Discounts, Pet insurance, Discount Shopping & More!Wellness Programs offered to all employees!401k program offered!Opportunity for Internal Mobility and transfers available!WFS is an equal opportunity employer committed to employment equity and inclusion.
