Safety Manager [HR-14597]

Shirley Parsons is partnered with an industry-leading client in need of a Safety Manager to support a major electrical construction project. This position requires a hands-on safety professional who is comfortable working in the field, collaborating with contractors and project teams, and helping maintain the highest level of safety performance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project teams to ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations, standards, policies, and procedures

• Provide technical safety guidance to managers, supervisors, and field personnel regarding hazard identification and mitigation

• Conduct scheduled and unscheduled site inspections to evaluate project safety performance

• Perform hazard analyses for ongoing construction activities

• Assist in maintaining and updating company safety policies, procedures, and manuals

• Develop and conduct Job Task Analyses (JTAs) and risk assessments for relevant tasks

• Coordinate safety training programs and promote safety awareness across project teams

• Work closely with supervisors to ensure proper job assignments and safe work practices

• Maintain accurate records of incidents, near misses, and safety observations

• Support investigations into accidents, incidents, injuries, or illnesses and assist with corrective actions

• Partner with project leadership to foster a collaborative environment focused on continuous safety improvement

• Provide additional safety support and project assistance as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a BCSP credential (CHST or STS-C), heavily preferred

• Minimum of 3 years of experience overseeing electrical contractor scope of work in construction environments, required

• Experience supporting healthcare or data center electrical construction projects, required

• OSHA 30-hour Construction certification obtained within the past three years

• Understanding of Workers’ Compensation processes and reporting

• Strong technical writing and documentation skills

• Ability to lead safety meetings, trainings, and presentations for groups

• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with project teams

• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced and evolving construction environment

• Certified OSHA Outreach Trainer for the Construction Industry, preferred

• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools

• Professional safety certifications such as CHST, CSP, or equivalent, preferred
