Neuro ICU Registered Nurse - $32-48 per hour

BJC HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Neuro ICU in Valley Park, Missouri. Job Summary Specialty: Neuro ICU Discipline: RN Duration: Ongoing Employment Type: Staff Position Highlights 3 (12)-hour day shifts (7 a.m. – 7 p.m.) Weekend requirement: every 3rd weekend Flexible scheduling Benefit eligible first day of month after start 401(k) with match BSN preferred ICU experience preferred Overview The Neuro ICU at Barnes-Jewish Hospital is a specialized, state‑of‑the‑art unit dedicated to the care of patients with complex neurological conditions. As a nursing professional in this unit, you'll collaborate with neurologists, neurosurgeons, and other healthcare professionals to deliver individualized care plans. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Promote patient and family centered care in a healing environment. Educate patients and families on disease management, home care, and medication administration. Participate in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Participate in professional development. Develop, implement, and document individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team and patient/family. Plan and ensure communication of the plan of care across the continuum of care. Use critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care. Assess patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care.
