Job Details:
Position: Project Engineer
Duration: 6-month contract + extensions (project will likely go into the end of 2027)
Location: Dearborn Michigan
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field)
- 5+ years of experience in project engineering or project management within automotive or manufacturing environments
- Strong background working with equipment installation and commissioning
- Experience coordinating with suppliers, integrators, and plant operations teams
- Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Plusses:
- Solid understanding of industrial systems such as:
- Fluid systems (fuel, coolant)
- Engine or powertrain systems
- Facilities/utilities (ventilation, exhaust, nitrogen systems)
Day to Day:
We are seeking a highly driven Project Engineer to lead and coordinate a large-scale Hot Run installation project. This individual will serve as the central point of contact across suppliers, internal teams, and installation partners, owning execution from design through commissioning. This is a high-visibility role where success is defined by the ability to drive timelines, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure seamless equipment installation and startup.
