Job Description Elementary Special Education Teacher - Stuart Elementary Grades 5 and 6 Qualifications: Valid Idaho Teacher Certificate with proper K-12 Special Ed Education endorsement or plan with State Department of Education to receive it. Responsibilities: Work with special education staff in developing IEPs, plan, organize, and provide technical assistance and direct training on a variety of education issues; coordinate department improvement activities; keep staff informed regarding current special education information and other issues. Position Purpose: Under the general supervision of the Special Education Director, to maximize the learning experience of students with special needs in academics, interpersonal skills and activities of daily living by providing support and developing services that reflect best practices in special education for all K-12 grade students and serve as a service provider for special education and regular classroom teachers.
