Project Director - Healthcare

Scope of Position In this role, you will be responsible for overall project profitability and client satisfaction, both during execution and post-completion. You are accountable for all aspects of project performance, including business development, design, construction, financial management, scheduling, quality, contractual obligations, and administration, while ensuring alignment and balance between design and construction. Job Responsibilities Sales Assembles and leads the proposal response team and develops the proposal strategy and budget Manages and coordinates response efforts for RFQ, RFP, and preparation of proposals Writes/reviews/edits proposal content Reviews/edits design, scope, drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and schedules Establishes prices and fees Leads presentation of proposal and prospect follow-up Negotiates contract terms with clients Delivery Directs preparation of conceptual estimate and periodic revisions Develops procurement and delivery strategy and schedules Authorizes advance procurement of long-lead items where advantageous, securing client authorization as necessary Leads design kick-off meeting Directs overall project design and permitting activities, working through A/E Project Principal Assures that the conceptual estimate is used as a basis for project design Leads client design review meetings Reviews drawings and specifications prior to each issuance Establishes a broad, overall strategy for construction Approves construction project management organization and assignment of key individuals Orients Construction Project Manager, when assigned, to project objectives, strategies, and client relationships Directs preparation of, and approves all schedules, including design schedule, master project schedule, construction progress schedule, and periodic schedule revisions Makes key decisions affecting schedule, consulting with clients as appropriate Directs preparation of and approves detailed cost estimates Assists in the resolution of discrepancies or conflicts between conceptual and detailed estimates Participates in the construction kick-off meeting Review project status, budget, and schedule with the Construction Project Manager on a regular basis Participates in client changes and negotiations as needed Reviews Summary Cost Reports Visits the project site periodically Solicits client feedback Post Delivery Leads team feedback and lessons learned sessions Develops post-completion client follow-up strategy, including major warranty/rectification items and pursuit of repeat business opportunities Education/Experience Bachelor's Degree in either Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering A minimum of ten years of relevant experience To thrive in this role, you\'ll need Demonstrated experience across engineering and construction, leading large-scale healthcare projects Strong leadership and management capabilities, effectively guiding teams and driving project success Applies sound business acumen and organizational skills to manage priorities, resources, and project deliverables Builds and maintains strong interpersonal relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams Leads client presentations and supports business development efforts through effective sales and communication skills Communicates clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, across all levels of the organization Negotiates contracts, scope, and project changes to achieve favorable outcomes while maintaining client satisfaction Develops accurate project estimates and pricing strategies to support profitability and competitiveness Manages and maintains project schedules, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with project goals Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, team members may be required to visit alternate locations and therefore must have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to do so. This position requires the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information. The team member is frequently required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear. Dirige l'ensemble des activités de conception et d'obtention des permis pour le projet, en collaboration avec le Responsable de projet (Architecture/Ingénierie). Veille à ce que l'estimation conceptuelle serve de base à la conception du projet. Anime les réunions de revue de conception avec le client. Examine les plans et les spécifications techniques avant chaque émission. Établit la stratégie globale et générale pour la phase de construction. Approuve l'organisation de la gestion du projet de construction ainsi que l'affectation des collaborateurs clés. Briefe le Chef de projet Construction, une fois celui-ci désigné, sur les objectifs et les stratégies du projet, ainsi que sur la relation avec le client. Dirige l'élaboration et approuve tous les plannings, y compris le planning de conception, le planning directeur du projet, le planning d'avancement de la construction, ainsi que leurs révisions périodiques. Prend les décisions clés ayant un impact sur le planning, en consultant le client le cas échéant. Dirige l'élaboration et approuve l'estimation détaillée des coûts. Apporte son assistance pour la résolution des écarts ou des conflits entre l'estimation conceptuelle et l'estimation détaillée. Participe à la réunion de lancement de la phase de construction. Passe régulièrement en revue l'état d'avancement du projet, le budget et le planning avec le Chef de projet Construction. Participe aux discussions et négociations relatives aux modifications demandées par le client, selon les besoins. Approuve le tableau de valeurs (échéancier de facturation) initial. Examine les synthèses, les rapports de coûts et les comptes rendus. Se rend périodiquement sur le site du projet. Sollicite les retours du client. Phase post-livraison Anime les séances de retour d'expérience et de capitalisation des enseignements au sein de l'équipe. Élabore la stratégie de suivi client post-achèvement, incluant la gestion des points majeurs liés à la garantie ou aux rectifications, ainsi que la prospection d'opportunités de nouvelles affaires. Effectue des déplacements selon les besoins. Accomplit toute autre tâche pouvant lui être confiée en fonction des nécessités. Assure la supervision d'autres collaborateurs. Formation et expérience professionnelle Formation, parcours ou expérience dans les domaines de la construction, de l'architecture, de l'ingénierie ou du développement commercial. Un minimum de dix ans d'expérience est requis pour le poste de DPD I, et un minimum de 15 ans pour le poste de DPD II. Une licence (ou diplôme universitaire équivalent) ainsi qu'une licence professionnelle en architecture ou en ingénierie sont privilégiées. Ce poste exige la capacité de se tenir debout, de marcher, de se pencher, de s'agenouiller, de s'accroupir et de manipuler (soulever, porter, déplacer) des charges légères à moyennes, allant de 10 à 50 livres. Il requiert une bonne coordination œil-main, ainsi qu'une dextérité des bras, des mains et des doigts — incluant la capacité de saisir des objets — et une acuité visuelle suffisante pour utiliser un clavier, manipuler des équipements et lire les informations figurant sur des formulaires ou des applications.
