Flexible start times after a period of training/onboarding.Primary ResponsibilitiesProcess and reconcile electronic remittance files against deposits and resolve any resulting discrepanciesPost payments and contractual adjustments, reconcile postings to lockbox depositsResearch patient accounts on the Business Office System (Epic) with an understanding of payment, allowance, write-off and EDI (835) transactionsInterpret EOB's and R/A's and comprehend coordination of benefitsEnsure accurate, efficient revenue reporting for Kelsey Seybold ClinicComply with company policies and proceduresAbility to identify and quantify issues with carriersProvide customer service to both internal and external customersYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED2+ years of business office experience and 1+ years of experience in coordination of benefits & EOB/RA interpretations - Total 3+ years of experience10 key/data entry and analytical skills - requires 7000 kph with an error rate of 1 to 5%Demonstrated basic CPT, ICD-9 coding knowledgeDemonstrated excellent organizational, mathematical and analytical skillsDemonstrated positive demeanor and good verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated professionalism in both appearance and approachDemonstrated computer knowledgeProven ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs.Preferred QualificationsCertified medical business office training3+ years of business office experienceDemonstrated knowledge of business office patient accounting system (Epic)Demonstrated knowledge of EDI (835) TransmissionsPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
