PRODUCE/PRIMETIME ASST DEPT LEADER

Overview Provide leadership support and direction during primetime hours (3p-7p M-F; 11a-7p Sat/Sun) to drive sales and enhance the customer experience. Partner with the store leader and department leader to develop a high-performance culture where associates are aligned to the business strategy and receive the knowledge and training needed to deliver a consistently great experience for Every Customer, Every Time. Responsibilities Provide leadership support during stated primetime hours to drive sales and enhance customer experience. Partner with store and department leaders to develop a high-performance culture and aligned associates through knowledge and training. Demonstrate the company values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety. Ensure orders are put up in a timely manner, work backstock, rotate product, and replenish throughout the day. Train and develop associates on their job performance and participate in the performance appraisal process. Create an environment where customers feel welcome and valued by answering questions, making suggestions, and locating products. Inform customers of specials and offer product samples to help discovery of items. Ensure merchandising standards are followed; review products for quality and freshness and take appropriate action. Create and execute sales promotions in partnership with store management. Inform and educate department associates about current, upcoming, and special in-store promotions, especially those affecting the department. Ensure in-stock behaviors are executed daily and manage inventory processes including backroom and prep areas to maintain 5S practices. Plan and organize the inventory process, monitor inventory/stocking conditions, note discrepancies, and train associates on inventory/stocking and CAO. Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers and keep temperature logs. Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures, identifying unsafe conditions, and notifying management of any repairs or incidents. Report safety risks or issues and any illegal activity, including robbery, theft, or fraud. Adhere to local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines.
