Functional Expert/Systems Expert

USGI is seeking a Functional Expert/Systems Expert I to provide vital staff support and subject matter expertise to fulfill the multiple mandates and programs on behalf of the Department of Health and Human Services for the U.S. government such as the new task assigned to the OSP Biosecurity team to lead efforts to strengthen oversight related to critical life sciences research with potential biosafety and biosecurity implications and the intersection of biosecurity and bioeconomy, and in addition, staff provide support for the monitoring of biosafety practices and containment principles as outlined by the NIH Guidelines.

Representative Functional Roles: public affairs specialist, administrative specialist, financial specialist, procurement specialist, research analyst, scientist/staff specialist, HIPPA Officer.

General Functional Responsibilities: Performs as a consultant in highly specialized, leading edge information technologies and methodologies. Provides highly technical and specialized guidance concerning automated solutions to complex information processing problems. Performs elaborate analyses and studies. Responsible for preparing reports and giving presentations.

Required Qualifications

• Advanced Degree
• Ten (10) years of experience.
