About the Role

The Company is seeking a President to lead its system, which is dedicated to providing access to high-quality education and fostering global leaders. The successful candidate will serve as the chief executive officer, guiding the Board of Supervisors in shaping a vision for the system and executing strategies to achieve excellence in higher education. This role requires a strong commitment to the institution's mission of supporting, protecting, and advancing the unique educational opportunities it offers. The President will be responsible for aligning the strategic plans of each campus, enhancing student access and success, and promoting the Southern University brand through outreach and global engagement. Applicants for the President position at the company should have a proven track record in budget management, resource development, and financial management. The role demands the ability to oversee a diverse set of campuses and employees, as well as to increase the funding base of the system. The ideal candidate will have a doctorate degree, senior-level administrative experience, and a deep understanding of the legislative processes. They must be dedicated to the values of the institution, including diversity, public service, and a global perspective. The President will be expected to demonstrate leadership in academic programs, facilities, and strategic planning, and to be actively involved in the community.
