Details 40-bed Emergency Department averaging 145 patients daily Staffed with RNs, Paramedics, EMTs, Nurse Externs, and Unit Secretaries Patient ratio of 4:1 Uses IV Pumps, EKG machines, U/S machines, Belmont, Lifepack, and GE Transport Monitors EMR: Meditech, prior experience preferred Shift: 3:00 PM - 3:00 AM 13-week assignment Requirements Active RN license (CO or Compact) required Minimum 1-2 years current acute care ED RN experience Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, and CPI Blue card Trauma Level 1 or 2 experience preferred No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more in the past 12 months US SSN and DOB required for consideration One professional reference required Additional Information Perform rapid ESI triage, comprehensive nursing assessments, and focused reassessments Manage sepsis and stroke screening and interventions Respond to Level 1 and 2 trauma activations and mass casualty incidents Administer blood products and assist with procedural sedation Provide pediatric emergency care and behavioral health crisis intervention Perform EKGs, defibrillation, IV insertion, blood and blood culture collection, and medication administration Assist with suturing, staples, wound care, and splinting Ideal candidates are experienced ER nurses who are team players, motivated, and ambitious Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted American Traveler Job ID P-738590.
