JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: H-MD-135258 Profession: Physician Specialty: Emergency Medicine Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Davenport, Florida Coverage Period: Sep 18, 2026 – Ongoing Shift Schedule: 12‑hour shifts Reason for Coverage: Coverage Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: Approximately 140 patients per day Case Mix: General emergency medicine patient mix including medical, surgical, and trauma cases FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds in Department: 37 ED beds EMR System: Epic Support Staff Available: RNs, APPs (24-hour coverage) PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide emergency medical care to patients across multiple AdventHealth emergency departments in a regional coverage model. Perform all department-required procedures including intubation, central lines, suturing, and resuscitation. Supervise and collaborate with APP coverage to ensure efficient patient throughput. Document patient encounters accurately and timely in the Epic EMR system.
