Job Overview and Qualifications

In the role of Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), you will carry out essential diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for patients of all ages suffering from cardiopulmonary conditions. As a vital member of the patient-centered care team, your responsibilities will include performing routine maintenance on respiratory equipment, implementing quality control measures, and handling various administrative or technical tasks.

• Set up and operate different types of respiratory care devices.
• Conduct a variety of technical procedures related to cardiopulmonary hemodynamics.
• Show proficiency in proper airway management.
• Assess patients accurately, interpret results, and recommend alternative respiratory treatments.
• Demonstrate skill in routine patient evaluations and recognize respiratory dysfunction effectively.
• Act as a respiratory care protocol assessor by delivering therapy, reassessing patients promptly, and maintaining accurate documentation.
• Engage in regular communication with physicians and nursing staff regarding patient care plans and updates.

Required Qualifications:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 90 days of starting employment.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
• Neonate Resuscitation certification must be obtained within 90 days of starting employment.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification must be obtained within 90 days of starting employment.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-RRT) credential.
• State Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner license (RRT/RCP).
• Associate Degree in a relevant field.

No travel is required for this position.
