As a designated Community Umbrella Agency (CUA) for the Department of Human Services, Net Community Care operates CUA1 and CUA7, providing comprehensive child welfare services focused on safety, permanency, and family well-being. Summary

Case Aides play an important role in supporting families and ensuring the safety and well-being of children. In this position, you will work directly with families identified by the Department of Human Services who may need help improving parenting skills and creating a safe, stable home environment. In this role you will assist families in learning and practicing skills that reduce safety risks and promote healthy child development. This work includes providing hands-on support, guidance, and encouragement to help families build the tools they need to care for their children successfully.

Case Aide's have strong knowledge of child welfare protective services issues and the needs of high risk, vulnerable families. The Department of Human Services based on concerns regarding parenting skills and ability to maintain children in a safe environment identifies client families. This intensive program will assist families in developing parenting practices and skills that reduce safety risks and enhance ability to provide a nurturing environment for children.

Qualifications

To succeed as a Case Aide, you need to be dependable, organized, and committed to helping children and families succeed. On a day-to-day basis, you'll spend much of your time in the field – visiting homes, schools, and other locations – to provide support, check on children's safety, and help families put into practice the skills they need to create a stable home.

In this role, you will be working closely with families who may be facing significant challenges, so patience, empathy, and good listening skills are essential. Success in this role means building trust, following through on commitments, and keeping accurate, up-to-date records of your work. You will need to be proactive- identifying issues early, communicating clearly with your supervisor, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks. The job also requires you to be comfortable balancing field work with administrative tasks. That means completing paperwork on time and coordinating with other team members and agencies. You should be ready to adapt to changing priorities, sometimes at short notice, while keeping the safety and well-being of children as your top priority. If you can stay organized, manage your time well, and approach each family with respect and compassion – while following all policies and safety protocols - you will make a meaningful difference in the lives of the children and families we serve.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Two years' experience involving youth and families preferred
• Knowledge of child and family service systems
• Valid Driver's License (issued by state in which employee lives) and safe driving record
• Experience with computers beneficial
• Knowledge of social work values and/or child welfare services
