Purchasing Agent Location: Bear Creek, AL (Fully Onsite) Salary: $68,000 – $78,000 Position Overview Dave Carter & Associates is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Agent to support procurement operations across multiple product lines within a fast-paced distribution environment. This role will focus on vendor management, inventory support, purchasing analysis, and maintaining efficient supply chain operations. Responsibilities Execute purchasing activities, process purchase orders, and manage supplier relationships across multiple product categories. Negotiate pricing, lead times, and purchasing terms while identifying cost-saving opportunities. Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with sales, operations, and warehouse teams to support customer demand and operational efficiency. Analyze purchasing trends, maintain procurement records, and resolve supplier, shipping, and invoice discrepancies. Qualifications Minimum 2+ years of purchasing or procurement experience within manufacturing or distribution environments preferred. Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with ERP or inventory management systems. Excellent analytical, organizational, negotiation, and communication skills.
