Physical Therapist (PT) – Inpatient Rehabilitation

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | Every other weekend required | No call requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy evaluation and treatment services within a free-standing inpatient rehabilitation hospital setting
• Treat an adult patient population including stroke, traumatic and non-traumatic brain injury, debility, amputation, non-traumatic and traumatic spinal cord injury, cardiac/pulmonary conditions, and neurological disorders such as MS, Parkinson's, and myopathy
• Utilize specialized rehabilitation equipment including Lite Gait, Biodex, and Zero-G systems
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using the Epic EHR system
• Collaborate closely with nursing and interdisciplinary therapy teams in a cohesive, team-oriented environment
• Maintain a patient ratio of 5:1 within a 40-bed inpatient rehab unit

Required Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license in the State of Indiana (required)
• Minimum of 1–2 years of physical therapy experience
• Experience working with adult patient populations
• BS, MS, or DPT degree in Physical Therapy
• Ability to work every other weekend as part of the standard schedule

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in inpatient rehabilitation, particularly with stroke, brain injury, or neurological disorder populations
• Familiarity with specialized rehab equipment such as Lite Gait, Biodex, or Zero-G
• Experience documenting in Epic EHR
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-focused therapy and nursing environment
