Emergency Room Nurse

Provides direct and indirect patient care in the Emergency Department. Evaluates outcomes and consults with other specialists and ancillary departments as required. Adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care and flow through the ER. Provides care that meets the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care. Meets the communication needs of patients and families. Acts with initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations. Communicates with ED physicians about changes in patients' status, symptomatology, and results of diagnostic studies. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or responses to treatment. Holiday coverage is required.
