Maintenance Technician III (Industrial Maintenance)

Shift: Monday-Friday / 3:00pm 11:30pm Start Pay Range: $31.73

Objectives / Purpose of the Job: Responsible for maintaining and repairing production and facility equipment. Performs mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently.

Key Activities / Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment, including steam sterilizers, ovens, pumps, kettles, piping systems, electrical controls, and related utility systems.
• Provides training, mentoring, and technical guidance to Maintenance Technician I and Maintenance Technician II associates.
• Leads complex equipment repairs, troubleshooting efforts, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, performance, and operational efficiency.
• Respond to equipment failures and perform corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Perform scheduled Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities in accordance with established procedures.
• Process, complete, and document assigned work orders in a timely manner using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Maintain compliance with all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), site policies, and required training programs.
• Follow all Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), safety, and housekeeping requirements.
• Promote and maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Work effectively in an aseptic manufacturing environment while adhering to established procedures (training provided).
• Maintain respiratory protection qualification as required for assigned duties (training provided).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Scope of Position: Process daily work orders and preventive maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting, repairing, and upgrading production, facility, and laboratory equipment.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 10 years of industrial maintenance experience in mechanical systems, electrical systems and controls, piping systems, and pneumatic systems.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and process-related equipment.
• Experience troubleshooting and working with electrical control systems, including motors, motor controls, variable frequency drives (VFDs), relays, sensors.
• Experience installing, repairing, and maintaining industrial piping systems, including valves, fittings, pumps, and associated equipment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and perform effectively under pressure.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality, safety, and accuracy.
• Demonstrated proficiency in the safe and effective operation of hand tools, power tools, electrical testing equipment, and other tools and equipment commonly used in maintenance environments.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, P&IDs, manuals, and equipment documentation.
• Experience operating machine shop equipment, including lathes and milling machines, (preferred)
• Valid driver's license required.

On the Job Training provided:

• Aseptic Gowning Certification.
• Forklift & JLG Certification
• Respirator
