Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab/EP

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care to adult and geriatric patients undergoing cardiac diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab/EP. Ensures patient safety, comfort, and optimal outcomes through direct care and effective communication with the multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

• Administer direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs and physiologic data during procedures.
• Communicate continuously with physicians regarding patient status and procedural needs.
• Assist with equipment setup, maintenance, and inventory management within the cardiovascular laboratory.
• Assess and ensure readiness of procedure rooms and supplies for scheduled cases.
• Record and monitor patient conditions throughout procedures, ensuring safety and documentation compliance.
• Participate in performance improvement and quality assurance activities to enhance patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Hold a Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Maintain an active state RN license.
• Possess current BCLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications and keep them up to date.
• Bring at least one year of clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab or Critical Care environment.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
