Waving Manager Work Hours: 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., Monday–Thursday. A Waving Manager is responsible for managing wave planning and execution to ensure customer orders are released, picked, packed, and shipped efficiently. Responsibilities Analyze order volumes and shipping deadlines for wave planning. Coordinate with WMS to create effective waves. Prioritize high‑urgency or time‑sensitive orders. Monitor real‑time progress of picking waves. Adjust wave release timing to avoid bottlenecks. Ensure labor is properly allocated across waves. Work closely with inventory control, picking and packing supervisors, and outbound teams to maintain smooth transitions. Use WMS or ERP to trigger waves, track status, and troubleshoot issues. Track metrics such as wave completion times, order accuracy and throughput efficiency. Report issues or delays and recommend improvements. Key Skills Needed Strong understanding of warehouse processes. WMS proficiency (e.g., Manhattan, SAP EWM, Oracle). Attention to detail and problem‑solving skills. Communication and leadership skills. Ability to work under pressure in fast‑paced environments. Example Scenario The Waving Supervisor notices a surge in 2‑day delivery orders. They prioritize those orders into an early wave, coordinate with picking teams to start immediately, and ensure packages reach the dock before the afternoon carrier cutoff. Senior Operations Manager (Operations Manager I) National salary range: $85,000 – $100,000. In California and Washington: $85,000 – $110,000. Responsibilities Lead, motivate and develop a diverse team of Supervisors and indirect reports, fostering a culture of inclusion and belonging. Uphold compliance with health and safety regulations. Compile comprehensive reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as productivity and accuracy metrics to support decision‑making. Foster an environment of open communication and collaboration among leadership and associates. Partner with HR and site leadership to ensure a comprehensive hiring process of Supervisors. Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure consistent and prompt fulfillment of customer orders. Engage in a strong partnership with customers, proactively addressing concerns to achieve exceptional satisfaction. Requirements Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferred. 1+ years logistics industry experience, required.2+ years supervisory or management experience, required. Experience with P&L management, objective setting, and project management, preferred.
