Hepatologist - Faculty

Whiddon College of Medicine at the University of South Alabama, is seeking a full-time Hepatologist to join its growing Digestive Health and Liver Disease program in the Department of Internal Medicine. This position offers a combination of outpatient clinical practice at Digestive Health and inpatient care with hospital privileges at USA Health University Hospital. The role includes opportunities for teaching, academic involvement, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team. Academic rank will be commensurate with training and experience. Clinical Responsibilities Provide comprehensive outpatient hepatology care at Digestive Health Inpatient consultative and/or attending services at University Hospital Collaborate closely with gastroenterology, transplant services, surgery, oncology, and other specialties Participate in academic, teaching, and scholarly activities consistent with an academic appointment Qualifications Board certified or board eligible in Gastroenterology (required) Board certification in Hepatology (strongly preferred) Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Alabama Commitment to academic medicine, education, and patient-centered care EEO and Employee Benefits EO Employer – minorities/females/veterans/disabilities/sexual orientation/gender identity.
