Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 1:5-6 patient ratio (up to 1:6 on weekends), 32-bed unit, typically every other weekend coverage, floating within scope of practice as needed

Highlights:

• Progressive care overflow unit managing cardiac, pulmonary, renal, and post-procedural patients
• Experience required with continuous IV medications including cardiac drips (Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Nitroglycerin), diuretics, anticoagulants, and insulin drips
• Epic EMR (preferred), Pyxis medication system, SBAR communication protocols
• Arrhythmia management, cardioversion, post-cardiac cath care, TR Band management, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Patient population includes cardiac CHF, chest pain, COPD, pulmonary edema, PE/DVT, stable arrhythmias, DKA, and post-surgical patients
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, phlebotomy, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and transportation

Requirements:

• Active Georgia or Compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of progressive care/stepdown nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required – first-time travelers not accepted
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Demonstrated experience managing all continuous IV medications listed above (hard requirement)
• Experience with 1:6 patient ratios
• Proficiency in arrhythmia interpretation and management
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Skills required: IV access and management, port management, central line care, PICC line management, blood product administration, telemetry interpretation, BiPAP/CPAP management, high flow nasal cannula, feeding tube management, and phlebotomy
