Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into an exciting role as a school-based Physical Therapist, supporting students near beautiful Canyon Lake, TX, for the 2022-2023 academic year. This contract position offers the chance to make a significant impact while working within a tight-knit school community from August 16, 2022, through June 1, 2023.

You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to help young learners reach their fullest potential, primarily serving elementary-aged students with a small, manageable caseload. This rewarding assignment is perfect for a compassionate PT eager to engage with students, educators, and families who value innovative support.

What We’re Looking For:

• Current license as a Physical Therapist in Texas
• Previous school-based PT experience strongly preferred
• Solid ability to assess, develop, and implement therapeutic interventions in academic settings
• Skilled at maintaining effective communication with students, faculty, and parents
• Committed to working independently and as part of an educational team
• PTA/COTA candidates are not eligible for this position

Your Responsibilities:

• Provide direct PT services to a small caseload—4 elementary students per week
• Work an average of 4 hours weekly, with flexibility for school scheduling
• Document progress, maintain compliance with IEP documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
• Collaborate closely with the OT, who covers a caseload of 22 students and meets weekly
• Adapt therapy plans to meet the individual needs and goals of each student
• Foster an inclusive, supportive learning atmosphere for all abilities
