Department: Quality Care Rehab Employment Type: Part Time Location: Santa Marta Senior Living Workplace type: Onsite Compensation: $30.00 - $33.00 / hour Reporting To: Brian Daugharthy Key Responsibilities As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you are an integral part of the rehabilitation team, working under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist to help patients regain movement, alleviate pain, and restore function following injury, illness, or surgery. Here are the primary responsibilities: Assist in the implementation of treatment plans developed by the physical therapist to address patients' specific rehabilitation goals and functional needs. Lead patients through prescribed exercises and therapeutic activities designed to enhance physical function and promote recovery, instructing on proper exercise techniques, monitoring progress, and providing feedback. Ensure proper application of various treatment modalities, monitor patient responses, and adjust treatment parameters as necessary. Educate patients and families on injury prevention strategies, body mechanics, and pain management techniques. Monitor patients' responses to treatment, document progress, and collaborate with the supervising physical therapist for plan adjustments. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Degree in an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program. Current license/certification in the state of practice. TMC is an equal opportunity employer.
