As part of our Architecture practice at HDR, you'll contribute to the design and delivery of spaces and experiences that advance community well-being around the world. From healing environments and learning spaces to research labs and civic landmarks and infrastructure, your work will directly influence how individuals experience the world around them. We bring together architects, planners, designers, and technical experts to solve complex design challenges with creativity, curiosity, and collaboration. From championing design excellence with an emphasis on resilience and sustainability to pioneering innovative building technologies, your contributions will leave a lasting impact on the built environment. In the role of Project Controls Specialist , we'll count on you to:- Establish WBS, and develop and maintain complex project schedules for various phases of the project
- Coordinate with necessary team members
- Develop and monitor project metrics
- Participate in project coordination meetings
- Conduct project site visits if applicable
- Conduct schedule baseline and schedule update reviews
- Develop cost estimates
- Perform other duties as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in project controls work on engineering and construction projects (or equivalent), preferrably including planning, estimating, forecasting, scheduling, cost control, schedule control, and project reports
- Certifications (one or more): PSP, PMP, PE, CM, EVP, PMI-SP, CST
- Ability to interpret construction schedules
- Bachelor's degree
- The capability to actively progress knowledge in the areas of:
- Oral and written communication skills
- Interpersonal and leadership skills
- Coordination and prioritization of multiple long and short-term tasks
- Organizational, analytical and problem-solving abilities
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
