Duties
Respond to and investigate complaints while interpreting and enforcing state and federal laws, the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), DoD and Navy regulations, and installation directives, rules and regulations.
Possess authority to apprehend personnel, both combative and non-combative members of the public.
Perform traffic law enforcement using specialized equipment such as radar, breathalyzer, and must be qualified/certified in these specialized areas and on the necessary equipment.
Use computer equipment and specialized web-based law enforcement programs to fuse intelligence and establish, update, query or print individual or vehicle registration and other law enforcement sensitive information.
Operate motor vehicles having gross vehicle weights of 7,000 pounds or less, loading capacities of 1 ton or less, manual transmissions, and 2 or 4-wheel drive in support of operations and to transport personnel and materials.
Detect and investigate unusual situations/conditions; takes required action to resolve various incidents/situations and requests additional support, if necessary.
Perform a full range of force protection, anti-terrorism and sentry duties at installations or activities with significant operational assets, unrestricted access points, large populations onboard and around the installation/activity.
