RN Telemetry IThis position is for a Registered Nurse in a telemetry unit. The unit has a patient population that includes those with CHF, Atrial Fibrillation, Pulmonary Embolism, and Pneumonia. Patients may also include those with alcohol-related issues and dementia with cardiac comorbidities. The unit cares for patients on various drips such as Cardizem, Nitroglycerin, Lasix, and Heparin. Floating to applicable units may be required when necessary. The clinician to patient ratio is typically 1:4 during day and evening shifts, with a maximum of 5 patients. Night shift nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5-6. This role involves providing nursing care for telemetry patients and collaborating with healthcare teams. Experience in interpreting telemetry strips and managing cardiac-related treatments is essential for this position.
