Position Overview

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at our Peoria campus is seeking General OB/GYN physicians for full-time or part-time roles. These positions involve delivering comprehensive healthcare in both inpatient and outpatient environments, as well as actively participating in the education and clinical training of residents and medical students. Our expanding program allows for a position tailored to your interests in OB/GYN patient care, teaching, and enjoying a flexible work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in obstetrics and gynecology across both outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Engage in the education of residents and medical students within the clinical context of obstetrics and gynecology, promoting a culture of learning and professional growth.
• Participate in scholarly activities.
• Contribute to departmental efforts aimed at improving patient outcomes and healthcare delivery.
• Perform additional related tasks and engage in special projects as needed.

Essential Qualifications

• MD or DO degree.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Illinois.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven experience in teaching residents and medical students.
• Interest or experience in research and academic leadership is preferred.

Our campus is part of the University of Illinois College of Medicine, one of the largest and most diverse public medical schools in the United States, with an OB/GYN residency program that accepts up to four residents annually.

Academic offices are connected to a quaternary care hospital featuring a Level I Trauma Center, one of the most comprehensive neuroscience centers in the Midwest, and the largest children's hospital in downstate Illinois. Faculty members also have access to a state-of-the-art medical simulation center.
