TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Tucson, Arizona, 85712!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in Medical/Surgical/Telemetry License: Valid RN license required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS (Certifications must be current and cannot expire within 30 days of start) Must-Have: EPIC experience required Description: This position consists of a 13-week assignment. Candidates must possess a valid RN license. BLS and NIHSS certifications are required. Certifications must be current and cannot expire within 30 days of the start date. ACLS certification is preferred. A minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical/Surgical/Telemetry is required. Experience with the EPIC charting system is mandatory. An open book EKG test will be administered at orientation. Floating within the scope of practice is required. Four weekend shifts are required during the contract. Candidates must complete the full contract length. Local candidates and first-time travelers should not apply. The nursing team follows a team nursing model, with a nurse-to-LPN ratio of 1:8. Candidates will be asked to confirm their understanding of the ratios and the nursing model during the offer process. Floating to the sister facility may be required. Candidates must be agreeable to floating to the designated facility, which is a 25-minute distance away and has a lower acuity. Travel experience is necessary. Solo nursing ratios consist of 1 nurse to 5-6 patients. Interdisciplinary support will be available on the unit. The patient age groups include adults and geriatrics. The daily census is approximately 34 patients. Management reserves the right to adjust staffing and scheduling as needed.
