Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students’ growth and success in a collaborative school environment. This full-time Special Education teaching role focuses on providing resource and inclusion support to approximately 20-25 students following the general curriculum. The position is set to begin around August 5th, with an end date around May 25th, offering a consistent schedule from 7:00 am to 2:30 pm, totaling 37.5 hours per week.

Key Qualifications:

Valid Special Education teaching certification
Experience or strong interest working in resource/inclusion settings
Familiarity with general curriculum adaptations and modifications
Ability to progress monitor and assess student growth toward IEP goals
Adept at collaborating with colleagues, families, and support staff
Strong organizational skills for managing caseloads and documentation

Primary Responsibilities:

Serve as the case manager for 20-25 students receiving EC services
Schedule, hold, and write IEPs tailored to student needs
Provide direct instruction and support in reading, math, and behavior as outlined in each IEP
Monitor progress on IEP goals and maintain thorough student records
Work in collaboration with another dedicated EC teacher, effectively sharing insights and responsibilities
Ensure compliance with all district, state, and federal special education requirements
