Position Description: THIS IS A REGIONAL POSITION, HOME EVERY OTHER DAY
$2500 sign on bonus paid over 6 months
We are inviting you to come work for a 50+ year old company that is expanding their van division. Located in Aurora, IL. We are seeking reliable and skilled drivers to join our team, working closely with our customer of over 40 years. The ideal candidates will need to have 2+ years’ experience in operating with a class A semi. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for properly securing cargo, transporting freight safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and the ability to manage time effectively to ensure timely deliveries. As the Driver, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the flow of freight and supporting our operations.
Responsibilities:
Execute route driving to deliver goods to designated locations in a timely manner.
Load and unload freight as required, ensuring proper handling and securing cargo.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of both tractor and trailer to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs for hours driven and vehicle maintenance.
Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
Qualifications:
Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle being operated.
Proven experience in truck driving with a strong understanding of route driving techniques.
Ability to load and unload freight safely.
Strong attention to detail with excellent time management skills.
Ability to pass background checks and adhere to company policies regarding safety standards.
Excellent communication skills and a commitment to providing outstanding service.
