About the job Senior Engineer - Transmission Lines Position Overview: We are seeking a Senior Engineer to provide advanced engineering and technical expertise on complex electric transmission projects for high-voltage (HV) and extra high-voltage (EHV) overhead utility systems. In this role, you will manage, prepare, review, and provide guidance on line routing, survey coordination, PLS-CADD modeling, structure and foundation design, clearance verification, plan/profile development, material specification and procurement, constructability assessments, work order package preparation, permitting, and coordination with vendors, subcontractors, and construction teams. Key Responsibilities Develop and approve PLS-CADD criteria for transmission projects. Finalize PLS-CADD models and designs. Plan and schedule project tasks for support teams. Attend client stakeholder and design review meetings. Mentor and train junior engineering team members. Participate in internal engineering and design review sessions. Qualifications & Experience Bachelors degree in Engineering (required). Professional Engineer (PE) certification (required). Minimum of 8 years of transmission line engineering experience in the electric utility industry (required). Strong knowledge of design codes and standards such as NESC, IEEE, ASCE, and ACI. Experience coordinating with substation, environmental, right-of-way, construction, and maintenance stakeholders. Proven ability to apply engineering theories and principles effectively. Skilled in researching engineering issues, evaluating alternatives, and preparing recommendations. Commitment to working safely and adhering to all safety regulations. Self-motivated and capable of thriving in an unstructured, deadline-driven environment. Excellent collaboration skills, able to work effectively with team members and peers in the industry. Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
