About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Communications and Marketing Officer (CCMO) to join its mission-driven team. The CCMO will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive communications and marketing strategies to advance the organization's brand and mission. This includes serving as the chief communication strategist, leading the integrated communications and marketing strategy, and overseeing all external communications, media relations, and social media. The successful candidate will also be tasked with building and maintaining public support for civic education, cultivating strategic partnerships, and serving as a key brand ambassador. The role requires a visionary leader with a strong background in communications and marketing, a proven track record in brand stewardship, and the ability to work in a politically charged environment. Candidates for the CCMO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with an advanced degree preferred, and a minimum of 10 years' of strategic communications experience. The ideal candidate will be an innovative thinker, a strong leader, and have a deep commitment to the values of civic education and democratic engagement. Key qualifications include exceptional written and verbal communication skills, experience in diverse and inclusive communication, and a background in managing a high-performing team. The role demands a professional with a strong sense of fiscal accountability, budget management experience, and a proven ability to work with executives and high-profile individuals.
