Employment Type: Full time Shift: Description: MEDICAL DIRECTOR Location: Philadelphia, PA Status: Full time Incentives: 1st Day Health Benefits Position Purpose: The Medical Director oversees medical aspects of participant care, ensuring clinical excellence, and leading the QAPI program. Responsibilities include policy development and supervision of Primary Care Providers, and providing leadership within the community. Role is both administrative and clinical in nature. Position Details: Position covers 11 programs in the general Philadelphia area. Travel to sites required, typically visiting one site per day with the counties of Delaware, Philadelphia, Montgomery and Chester. Visitation to nursing homes and work in the centers for participant care is also required regularly. What you will do: Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings, provide medical expertise, conduct intakes/assessments, develop treatment plans, ensure preventive care, coordinate care across settings, supervise programs, attend to emergency situations, ensure EMR documentation, lead advance care planning, collaborate with consultants and pharmacists, oversee the QAPI program, participate in grievance procedures when medical care is involved. Minimum Qualifications: Current PA medical license, CDS and DEA, BLS, Board Certification Internal Medicine or Family Practice; Geratrics preferred; 1 year with frail/elderly population; supervisory experience; valid driver’s license; strong communication; Microsoft Office; travel as needed.
