Process Engineer

Nammo Energetics (NEI) is the division of Nammo Group responsible for the establishment of a solid rocket motor manufacturing facility located in Perry, Florida adjacent to the existing Nammo Perry Inc facility. NEI will oversee the design, construction, qualification, and personnel staffing for the facility which targets initial production in 2027. We are seeking a dedicated and detail‑oriented Process Engineer to join our growing team. This person will play a pivotal role in partnering with our Norway facility to plan and design manufacturing processes and production workflows for our new solid rocket motor facility. The Process Engineer will work closely with design, safety, quality, and maintenance engineering groups to ensure efficiency and quality at each stage of production. This position is on‑site at the Nammo Energetics Office in Downtown, Perry, Florida and requires frequent travel to Raufoss, Norway for one‑to‑three week periods within the first 12‑18 months. Unique Benefits Designed With Care Monday - Thursday work week working 10‑hour days Relocation assistance provided 401(k) with a 6% company match 100% Employer-Paid Employee Only Medical Plan Option Employer Health Savings Account Contributions Generous PTO + nine paid holidays annually What You’ll Do: Precision in Action Plan and design manufacturing processes and production workflow Prepare plans, process specifications and procedures Work with tooling engineer to implement assembly fixtures, tooling and equipment Prepare labor estimates and tooling/equipment estimates for proposals Conduct tests and/or analyze new manufacturing methods, materials, processes or standards Compile and evaluate test and production data and provide recommendations for process improvements Conceive and plan projects involving major production activities, exploration of product and/or process problems Coordinate technical matters relating to assembly drawing interpretation, Engineering Change Notices, rework and manufacturing specifications Evaluate and define efforts to eliminate defects and reduce costs Perform Design for Manufacture/Design for Assembly (DFM/DFA) studies in coordination with Project Engineering Write work instructions that are complete and accurate Participate in design reviews to ensure contract requirements are incorporated and can be verified through design, qualification, inspection, software or test Support production activities What Dedicated Teammates Bring Bachelor of Science in Engineering with 5 years of relevant experience. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio. Ability to maintain attention to detail under stress, and the ability to understand and interpret Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
