Patient Coordinator
Eye Clinics of Michigan is seeking a full-time, long-term Patient Coordinator. This position is on-site at our office in Brownstown, MI, with travel to other offices in Wayne, Wyandotte, and Dearborn, MI as needed. Our office is open Monday-Friday from 8am to 5pm, with occasional flexibility.
Requirements include a high school diploma or GED equivalent, a favorable background check, basic computer skills, strong customer service skills, and a willingness to learn and grow.
Essential functions of the role include facilitating patient flow, verifying medical and vision insurances, communicating effectively with patients, doctors, and managers, and answering inquiries through phone, email, and in person requests.
As a Patient Coordinator, you will act as the first point of contact for our patients, setting the tone for their visit through excellent patient care. You will also perform administrative responsibilities to create a smooth check-in/out experience for patients.
Duties include providing exceptional customer service, managing patient flow, knowledge of common fees, completing daily reconciliations, and general office duties as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications include the ability to interact with all levels of employees in a courteous, professional manner, a desire to gain industry knowledge and training, demonstrating initiative in accomplishing practice goals, ability to grow, adapt, and accept change, creating a positive work environment, commitment to work over 40 hours, and reliable transportation to multiple work locations.
Education and experience requirements include a high school diploma or GED, one year of related experience or training, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and the ability to perform physical activities such as frequent walking, sitting, standing, bending, stooping, and reaching, lifting up to 25 lbs, and using fine motor skills.
