About the Role

The Company is seeking a Senior Vice President, Deputy Head of U.S. Sanctions Compliance to join their team. The successful candidate will be a key deputy within the U.S. Sanctions compliance function, with a primary focus on strengthening the firm's sanctions framework, enhancing investigative capabilities, and ensuring compliance with OFAC and related regulatory standards. This leadership role involves managing sanctions risk across various banking activities, including transactions, onboarding, and trade finance. Key responsibilities include reviewing and dispositioning sanctions alerts, leading complex investigations, identifying sanctions risks and potential violations, providing guidance on compliance expectations, and supporting regulatory inquiries. The role also requires the preparation of senior management updates, and regulatory reporting materials, and overseeing the enhancement of sanctions policies and procedures. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years' of experience in BSA/AML, sanctions, or OFAC compliance within a financial institution. A strong knowledge of U.S. banking regulations, particularly OFAC, BSA/AML, and related frameworks, is essential. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in conducting sanctions investigations, supporting regulatory examinations, and possess strong analytical, investigative, and risk assessment skills. The role demands the ability to operate in a senior, high-accountability compliance environment and offers the opportunity to engage with senior stakeholders and shape a global sanctions compliance program.
