Cloud Engineer

We are seeking a Cloud Engineer to join the cloud infrastructure team of a large healthcare/hospital system. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on strengthening and expanding the organization’s Azure environment, addressing existing infrastructure and security gaps, and helping establish more consistent cloud engineering practices.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable jumping into an existing environment, troubleshooting issues, provisioning infrastructure, and working closely with cloud architecture, infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams. This person will also help improve Infrastructure-as-Code and automation practices while providing technical guidance to internal team members.
Responsibilities

• Provision and configure Azure subscriptions, servers, networking, and cloud services
• Build and maintain infrastructure using Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code technologies
• Investigate and remediate vulnerabilities and configuration issues identified through cloud security tooling
• Work closely with cybersecurity teams to resolve cloud security findings and improve the organization’s overall security posture
• Troubleshoot existing Azure infrastructure and remediate issues from previous cloud deployments
• Support new cloud initiatives as the organization continues to expand its Azure footprint
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and standardized cloud delivery practices
• Assist with AWS workloads and infrastructure as needed
• Develop documentation, deployment procedures, and operational best practices
• Work closely with internal Cloud Engineers and Cloud Architects
• Provide hands-on mentoring and knowledge transfer to less experienced members of the cloud team
