About This Role

We are currently interviewing and hiring energetic, creative, and loving teachers, assistants, and aides to join our teaching team.

This position is pool-based and will remain open. Positions include infant, toddler, preschool (age 2.5-4), and PreK (age 4-5) rooms.

This position is specifically for a Floater.

The hours for this position are Monday through Friday between 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM. We offer a predictable and routine schedule weekly. Part time hours are available.

What You'll Do

Essential Job Duties

• Assist in infant, toddler, preschool, and pre-kindergarten classrooms as assigned.
• Maintain required staff-to-child ratios at all times.
• Follow the lead teacher's daily schedule and classroom expectations.
• Engage children in play, learning activities, and conversations.
• Supervise children indoors and outdoors.
• Redirect inappropriate behavior using positive guidance techniques.
• Assist children with transitions and diapering throughout the day.
• Follow daily classroom cleaning schedules.
• Sanitize toys, tables, changing stations, and high-touch surfaces.
• Sweep, vacuum, and mop as assigned.
• Restock classroom supplies.
• Help maintain an organized classroom throughout the day.
• Assist children in settling for rest.
• Monitor sleeping children according to safe sleep and licensing requirements.
• Provide lunch and break coverage for classroom staff.
• Follow all DCYF licensing regulations and center policies.

Requirements

• Meets Washington State DCYF licensing requirements.
• Current Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain).
• Current Food Handler Permit (or ability to obtain).
• Background check clearance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, and actively supervise children throughout the day.
