Travel RN Med-Surg

Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. Responsibilities include implementing and monitoring patient care plans, monitoring and recording patient condition as appropriate, serving as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care, noting and carrying out physician and nursing orders, and assessing and coordinating patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment. Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Travelers are required to work "up to 6" weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule period. Holiday requirements are based on department needs.
