Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a combined Adult/Pediatric, Non-Trauma Emergency Department setting
• Perform triage assessments and manage a patient ratio of 1:5
• Administer blood products, manage central lines, perform phlebotomy, and start IVs
• Administer continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation
• Manage ventilated patients, apply CPAP/BiPAP, and interpret ABGs
• Float to other campus locations as needed; expected availability for weekends (at least 8 per contract) and holidays as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience required
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)
• Third-party education verification required; degrees from schools on the Florida Diploma Fraud Audit list will not be accepted
• No open background check cases permitted
• Current driver's license required to verify address
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with triage in a high-volume emergency department environment
• Familiarity with ventilator management and interpretation of arterial blood gases
• Experience with procedural sedation and IV vasopressor administration
