Opportunity:

RN - Interventional Radiology

Job Details:

• Work 8-hour shifts in a 2-suite interventional radiology department
• Weekend rotation includes call coverage only (Friday end of shift through Monday at 7:00 AM)
• One weekday call shift per week from 4:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Work late shift (8:00 AM to 4:30 PM) on call days
• Holiday expectations include every other holiday on call only
• 3 days of orientation with additional days available if needed
• Buddy call system during orientation period
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Must have 2 years of interventional radiology experience
• Must be comfortable administering conscious/moderate sedation (no propofol)
• Administer IV medications and circulate cases
• Assist with ultrasound guided cases and CT procedures as needed
• Handle inpatient, outpatient, and ER cases (no neuro IR)
• Work with procedures including paras/thoras, biopsies, abscess drainage, angiograms, fistulograms, g-tube procedures, kyphoplasty/vertebroplasty, coil embolizations, nephrostomy tubes, dialysis catheters, central lines, ports, and IVC filters
• Occasional floating to CT with patients to continue cases
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Free parking available in facility parking lot
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Work with Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing system

Facility:

This medical center operates as a Level IV Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center with 74 beds. The interventional radiology department features 2 IR suites with modern equipment including Siemens Artis Zee C-arms. The facility maintains a fully staffed model with comprehensive support including radiologists, hospitalists, rapid response teams, and dedicated management. The department handles a wide variety of interventional procedures and maintains high standards for patient care across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency services.
