The Associate General Counsel – Sourcing is the attorney primarily responsible for managing and directing all aspects of the global sourcing of commodities, parts, sourced finished goods (SFG), and indirect purchasing. [This role will also be primarily responsible for the legal relationship with the company’s joint venture/SFG supplier. This role will have direct responsibility in managing the company’s growth initiatives through acquisition or other means. This executive level role reports to reports to a Deputy General Counsel.PositionAssociate General Counsel – SourcingLocationUSA, Louisville, KYHow You'll Create PossibilitiesStructure, draft, review, negotiate and provide advice with regard to a wide range of commercial agreements and documents relating to business transactions involving the company, including primary responsibility for contracts supporting the global sourcing of commodities, parts and SFGs,Be the primary legal department liaison between GEA in intracompany sourcing, including with GE Appliances parent, affiliates, and joint venture.Work cross-functionally with sourcing, finance, tax, global trade compliance, technology teams, both domestically and internationally, to identify risks and help implement effective enterprise-wide solutions for the business.Identify and analyze legal issues, create and implement creative solutions in order to allow the company to achieve business objectives within risk tolerances. Develop materials, help inform, and train employees.
