Job Description

Job Summary:
Assist in the care of surgical patients by handling instruments, supplies, and equipment during procedures. Ensure a sterile environment and support surgeons and nursing staff to facilitate smooth operative processes.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and organize surgical instruments and supplies for procedures.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team based on the procedure being performed.
• Maintain a sterile field throughout the operation to prevent infection.
• Follow physician and RN instructions, adhering to hospital policies and safety protocols.
• Practice standard precautions at all times to ensure a safe environment.
• Support the surgical team by lifting or maneuvering equipment as needed.

Qualifications:

• Possess a Certified Surgical Technician credential from an accredited program.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Demonstrate the ability to push, pull, and lift up to 35 lbs.
• Capable of standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods during procedures.
• Show understanding of surgical procedures and sterile techniques.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions from physicians and nursing staff.
