Primary TherapistThe Primary Therapist plays a pivotal role in the recovery process, providing direct therapeutic support and guidance to our clients. This position involves working closely with clients to develop and implement personalized treatment plans, conducting individual and group therapy sessions, and collaborating with our team to ensure the best outcomes for each client. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of addiction and mental health disorders, a strong therapeutic skill set, and a genuine commitment to helping others.Key Responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand clients' needs, strengths, and challenges. Develop individualized treatment plans based on these assessments using evidence based treatment approaches.Provide one-on-one counseling to help clients address underlying issues, develop coping strategies, and set realistic goals for recovery.Facilitate group therapy sessions to promote peer support, improve social skills, and encourage shared experiences among clients.Engage families in the treatment process, providing education and support to help them understand addiction and mental health disorders and their roles in the recovery journey.Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.Participate in daily clinical meetings.Work closely with the multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and other therapists, to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive treatment.Respond to clients in crisis, providing immediate support and intervention as needed.Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices and enhance therapeutic skills.Work collaboratively with internal and external case managers and other support service providers in the development of an aftercare plan that will facilitate recovery, wellness and overall self-sufficiency.Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, staff, families, agencies, and referents.Ensure treatment documentation meets agency and professional standards per AHCA, DCF and Joint Commission.Maintain professional ethics, including appropriate boundaries and confidentiality.Qualifications:Licensed Clinician (LMHC, LCSW, or LMFT) or Registered Intern in the state of Florida.+1 year of experience working with individuals with a mental health and substance abuse diagnosis.Bilingual PreferredExperience in group facilitation and working with a multidisciplinary team.Well-versed in a variety of evidence-based modalities (e.g. DBT, CBT, MI).Exceptional interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication, strong organizational skills, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Proficiency with EMRs, LOCUS, ASAM, AHCA, DCF, and Joint Commission.Level 2 Background Check and Drug Test requiredAbility to work under stressful conditions and be flexibleKnowledge of Joint Commission, ACHA, HIPAA standardsAbility to communicate effectively in written and verbal formsKnowledge of state and federal statutes regarding patient confidentiality lawsKnowledge of Drug-Free Workplace policies and proceduresEmotional intelligence to be able to deescalate situationsExperience and passion working with clients struggling with substance abuse or mental health disordersCommunication and teamwork skillsDocumenting all necessary information in EMR/EHR platformCollaborating with the treatment team to ensure quality client carePerforming other duties as necessarySuccessful completion of background screening, fingerprints, and required in-service courses (i.e., CPR, Security Awareness, HIPAA, OSHA, AIDS/HIV, COVID-19, Domestic Violence, Medical Errors, Baker Act, Co-Occurring disorders, etc.)Must be tech-savvy and proficient in Microsoft (word, excel, etc.)Preferred Qualifications:Experience working in a residential or outpatient mental health or substance abuse treatment setting.Familiarity with state and federal regulations for mental health or substance use treatment programs.Compensation: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per yearWe are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
