Overview Analyzes data, assesses trends and develops actionable insights and recommendations in support of enterprise-wide strategic business initiatives. Develops the analytics community at Vanguard by coaching others internally and participating in external events. Team and Context USDI Analytics (Supporting CX Transformation Office) About The Team USDI Analytics is responsible for delivering insights that help Vanguard improve client outcomes and drive strategic business decisions across the U.S. Direct Investor business. As part of this mission, the team partners closely with the Client Experience Transformation Office (CXTO) to advance Vanguard\'s enterprise client experience strategy, measurement framework, and transformation efforts. The team works at the intersection of client experience, business performance, and advanced analytics, helping leaders understand which experiences matter most, where friction exists, and how improvements can drive meaningful outcomes such as retention, loyalty, growth, and operational efficiency. Position Summary We are seeking a highly analytical and intellectually curious Senior Analyst to join USDI Analytics in support of the Client Experience Transformation Office (CXTO). This role will be responsible for delivering strategic analyses that influence enterprise decision-making, shape client experience investments, and inform leadership priorities. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with business acumen and consultative problem-solving. They are comfortable working with ambiguity, translating complex data into actionable recommendations, and partnering with senior stakeholders to solve high-impact business challenges. Rather than focusing solely on reporting, this role is expected to uncover insights, identify root causes, evaluate business impact, and help leaders make better decisions through data. Core Responsibilities Engages with internal partners to understand business strategy, questions and goals. Brings structure to business requests, translates requirements into an analytical project approach, and leads complex projects through completion. Delegates tasks and provides tactical and strategic guidance to peers. Serves as the analytics expert on cross-functional teams for enterprise-wide strategic initiatives. Acquires and compiles structured and unstructured data and verifies its quality, accuracy and reasonableness. Leads the development of data quality standards, and the tools and methods used to measure and improve data quality. Performs analyses of data from multiple sources to surface trends and insights using advanced analytical methods and machine learning. Validates analytical techniques employed by other analysts. Prepares and delivers expert level visualizations and internal presentations that translate analytic insights into tangible, actionable solutions for senior leader stakeholders to implement. Develops, owns and manages recurring analytic or reporting processes. Demonstrates expertise in data visualization and mentors analysts on data visualization best practices. Develops the analytics community at Vanguard by mentoring, coaching and connecting others with resources and training. Stays abreast of emerging trends and external best practices. Participates and presents during scheduled analytics seminars. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum of eight years related work experience. Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred. Special Factors Sponsorship Vanguard is not offering visa sponsorship for this position.
