This position will provide Tier II network administration and operational support for CENTRIXS environments supporting national defense missions.Location: Honolulu HawaiiClearance Required: Active Secret ClearanceEmployment Type: Contract to PermSalary Range: $100,000 - $110,000 conversion / $48 - $52 on contractThe Network Administrator will be responsible for administering, maintaining, and troubleshooting secure network infrastructure supporting classified and mission-critical operations. The ideal candidate will have strong Cisco networking experience, a solid understanding of DoD cybersecurity requirements, and experience supporting secure network environments.If interested, please share resume + relevant certifications to Rich @ [email protected]Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister and maintain CENTRIXS network infrastructure across multiple locations.Provide Tier II troubleshooting and resolution for network connectivity issues.Configure, monitor, and maintain Cisco routers, switches, and ASA firewalls.Perform Cisco IOS upgrades and system maintenance activities.Troubleshoot and support TACLANE encrypted network connections.Diagnose and resolve virtual networking and VDI-related connectivity issues.Conduct vulnerability scanning and remediation activities.Apply DISA STIGs and security hardening requirements in accordance with DoD policies.Support network outages, incident response, and restoration efforts.Maintain system documentation, network diagrams, and operational procedures.Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, and operations teams to ensure system availability and compliance.Required QualificationsExperienceMinimum 3 years of network administration experience.Experience supporting Cisco routing, switching, and firewall environments.Experience troubleshooting enterprise network connectivity issues.Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity requirements and information assurance practices.Security ClearanceActive Secret Clearance required.CertificationsMust possess one of the following DoD IAT Level II certifications:CompTIA Security+ CEGIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC)Security Certified Network Professional (SCNP)Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)ANDCisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting CENTRIXS, SIPRNet, or other classified networks.TACLANE administration and troubleshooting experience.Knowledge of DISA STIG implementation and vulnerability management.Experience supporting Navy or other DoD environments.Familiarity with VMware Horizon or other VDI technologies.ITIL Foundation Certification or knowledge of ITIL processes.Technical SkillsCisco Routers and SwitchesCisco ASA FirewallsTCP/IP NetworkingNetwork Troubleshooting and AnalysisTACLANE Encryption DevicesCENTRIXS NetworksVDI SupportDISA STIG ComplianceVulnerability RemediationDoD Information AssuranceEverforth Apex is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
