Project Manager

Our client, a leader in vehicle development and engineering, is seeking a Project Manager to join their team. As a Project Manager, you will be part of the Vehicle Program Management department supporting cross-functional teams involved in hardware engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality assurance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, proactive communication, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Vehicle Project Manager, Program Operations Location: Foster City, CA Pay Range: $75-$80/hour + Benefits What's the Job? Manage vehicle hardware projects and deliverables throughout the entire product life cycle, from concept to end of life. Build and maintain detailed project schedules, track milestones, dependencies, and risks, and implement mitigation strategies. Lead change management activities for hardware systems, including assessing impacts and driving engineering changes through approval and implementation processes. Facilitate program meetings, milestone reviews, and readiness assessments, ensuring clear decision-making and follow-through. Act as a central communication hub between engineering, operations, and stakeholders, streamlining information flow and surfacing escalations. What's Needed? Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Automotive, or related field) or equivalent experience. 3+ years of project or program management experience in automotive hardware or hardware systems development. Experience managing products through the hardware lifecycle, including applying structured change management processes. Strong ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive projects in a fast‑paced environment. Proficiency with productivity and collaboration tools such as Google Workspace, Jira, Confluence, and Slack; experience with PLM systems is a plus. What's in it for me?
