Machine Operator

The Machine Operator sets up, operates, and monitors manufacturing equipment in a clean, controlled environment to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality production. This role includes performing routine equipment checks, conducting quality inspections, and maintaining accurate production records while supporting continuous operation of production lines.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and adjust manufacturing or production equipment to maintain consistent output and product quality.
• Perform regular quality inspections to ensure all products meet safety, quality, and production standards.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and escalate more complex problems when necessary to minimize downtime.
• Conduct routine machine checks to verify proper operation and identify potential issues before they affect production.
• Restock materials and supplies to keep production lines running smoothly and prevent interruptions.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date production records, including output, downtime, and quality metrics.
• Perform minor repairs and adjustments on equipment as needed to keep production lines operating efficiently.
• Follow established procedures, guidelines, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure a safe and compliant operation.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to support production goals and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Skills

• Proven ability to operate and monitor manufacturing or production machinery safely and efficiently.
• Hands-on experience with machine operation and general production processes.
• Ability to perform basic troubleshooting on equipment and resolve minor mechanical or operational issues.
• Strong attention to detail when performing quality inspections and recording production data.
• Capability to perform routine machine checks and minor repairs to support continuous operation.
• Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ability to follow standardized procedures.
• Comfort working in a cleanroom or controlled environment with strict cleanliness and process standards.
• Basic recordkeeping skills to maintain accurate production and quality documentation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in food packaging or pouching environments is a plus.
• Previous experience working under GMP guidelines is highly beneficial.
• Background in cleanroom operations or controlled environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with warehouse or production facility workflows is an advantage.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a production team and communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors.

Work Environment

This role is based in a cleanroom facility with dedicated operator rooms, providing a very clean and controlled environment for daily work. You also spend time in a warehouse area that supports production activities. Work involves operating manufacturing equipment, following GMP standards, and adhering to cleanroom protocols and procedures. The environment emphasizes organization, cleanliness, and safety, with clear processes and guidelines to support efficient production operations.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Erlanger, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
