This is a night shift position, working 12-hour shifts from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM.

Job Description

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) performs cardiopulmonary evaluation, respiratory care, life support, and education for patients, families, and the public. The position involves working with outpatients and inpatients of all ages who have deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system, following established protocols or the prescriptions of physicians. The therapist will provide respiratory care duties in all areas of the hospital.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cardiopulmonary evaluations and develop appropriate care plans.
• Administer respiratory therapy treatments following established protocols.
• Provide life support as needed and educate patients and families on respiratory care procedures.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Work with patients across all age groups.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Licensed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in New York State.
• Certification in NRP, BLS, PALS, and ACLS.
• Completion of an Associate's degree in an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Experience in Labor & Delivery and Neonatal Resuscitation is required.
• Proficient in critical care respiratory therapy.
• Valid New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate.
